Cilla Patton is a Swiss painter living in Ireland. Her paintings tell stories of the life around her and are strongly influenced by her imagination and the unconscious. The imagery comes from many sources such as poetry and mythology, but also music and her many notebooks which play a major part in her work process. The paint is built up in layers while searching for the right colour combinations. This often leads into abstraction.

Cilla Patton's work is in private and public collections including: Office of Public Works, Dublin Castle; Dept of Finance, Northern Ireland; Stormont Castle, Belfast; British Airport Authority, Heathrow Airport, London; The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, County Mayo.
